An Introduction to HTML

Hyper Text Markup Language, namely, HTML, is a mark-up language used to mark parts of a document to indicate how they appear in print or on a screen. Using HTML, one can organize content of a document, for example, specifying the document structure at a high and abstract level. This lab focuses on the programming (coding) aspects of HTML. We learn HTML in examples from the W3Schools.com website.

An HTML document can be described by a set of HTML tags. In order to write an HTML document, we introduce the several types of commmonly used HTML tags, namely, document tags, format tags, list tags, table tags, image tags and Href tags.
