Recently published journal papers - December 2010 (Expired)

The Department of Computer Science is pleased to announce that the following journal papers are now in press.

  • C.J. Butz, K. Konkel and P. Lingras, "Join Tree Propagation Utilizing Both Arc Reversal and Variable Elimination," International Journal of Approximate Reasoning, 2010, doi:10.1016/j.ijar.2010.11.006.  Dr. Cory Butz is a faculty member in our department, Ken Konkel is a recent M.Sc. graduate of our department, and Dr. Pawan Lingras was one of the first Ph.D. graduates from our department.  Dr. Lingras is currently a faculty member at St. Mary's University in Nova Scotia.  The International Journal of Approximate Reasoning is a well-known forum for publishing research on artificial intelligence.
  • Wang, X., Ziebelin, D., and Hamilton, H.J., "An Ontology-Based Framework for Geospatial Clustering,'' International Journal of Geographical Information Science, 24(11):1601.   Dr. Howard Hamilton is a faculty member in our department, Dr. Xin Wang graduated with a Ph.D. from our department a few years ago, and Dr. Danielle Ziebelin is a researcher from the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble in France.  The International Journal of Geographical Information Science is the highest-ranked journal in the field of geographical information systems.
