Department of Computer Science sponsors MSI computer camps for youth aged 12-17 (Expired)

The Department of Computer Science is sponsoring two week-long camps for youth. The camps are organized by Mentor Systems, Inc. (MSI).

MSI Computer Camps are a set of summer camps dedicated to helping youth develop skills in computer related areas. The topics covered during each week include:

  •  Basic web page design (using HTML)
  • Advanced web page design (using CSS and Bootstrap)
  • Computer programming (using Python and C#)
  • Graphic design (using Adobe Photoshop)
  • 3D Modelling (using Cinema4D)
  • Video editing (using Adobe Premiere Pro)

The 2014 Computer Camps will consist of two weeks:

Week One: from July 7th to July 11th
Week Two: from July 14th to July 18th

Mentor Systems Inc. is a member-based organization registered as a non-profit corporation in Saskatchewan, Canada. MSI was formed by volunteer camp-staff who were counsellors and mentors at the various annual computer camps. MSI has the mandate of providing technological opportunities for youth. The program of camps and workshops fulfills this mandate by providing youth with hands-on experience with sophisticated systems, collaboration in solving challenging problems, and improved computer skills.
