New Deadlines and Policies for Undergraduate Co-op Work Term Reports (Expired)

The Department of Computer Science has approved revisions to the due date for co-op work term reports. Our objective in this has been to streamline the administrative processes related to the evaluation of the reports and submissions of grades.

NEW DUE DATE (EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY)

The due date for co-op work term reports for Computer Science students is now going to be the official last day of classes every term as specified in the Undergraduate Calendar and Course Catalog. This change is effective immediately and includes the 201510 term (i.e., the current term). Therefore, for the 201510 term, reports are due on Friday, April 10, 2015

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Computer Science will now accept electronic submission of work term reports. Many students who are on work terms in other cities and provinces already do this anyway. The current requirements for the structure and format of reports remains unchanged.

REPORT EVALUATION PROCEDURES

Work term reports will be evaluated within 7 to 10 days of their receipt. Those students whose reports are deemed satisfactory will have the grade for their report entered in the same term that they submitted the report. Those students whose reports require revision will continue to receive a grade of NR and the due date for revised reports will be in the next term on the second Friday after the first day of classes as specified in the Undergraduate Calendar and Course Catalog. The only exception to this is if the next term begins on a Monday, then revised reports will be due on the first Friday after the first day of classes. The revised reports will be evaluated within 7 to 10 days of their receipt and grade change forms will be submitted for those students whose revised reports are deemed satisfactory. Those students whose reports require further revisions will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
