FIRST LEGO Celebration (Expired)

The public is invited to attend a celebration of students in Grades 4-8 from around Southern Saskatchewan who have been taking part in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) League challenge for 2014. Each year, a new themed challenge is released and teams of young people around the world each work to: build and program a LEGO robot to complete tasks in a robot game; research and present a project related or connected to their community; and to carry themselves as gracious professionals according to the core values of the FIRST LEGO League ( Do you, or someone you know, like LEGO and robotics? Do you know someone between the ages of 9 and 14 who might like to participate in next year's challenge (for which registration opens May 1)? Come out and enjoy an afternoon at the University of Regina as we put a spotlight on science.
