Wireless Access on Campus

By Mark Haidl

The University of Regina wireless network provides access to the University LAN and internet from many strategic locations around campus. With a laptop and wireless card you can relax and surf the net in the Riddell Centre food court, work in the 1st floor Computer Science labs or do research in the Archer Library main floor, all this without having to plug in a wire. The currently supported standard is IEEE 802.11b and any Wi-Fi compatible card should work. If you want to give it a try the Archer Library circulation desk has cards you can sign out for a couple of weeks. For details on wireless locations and setup see http://www.uregina.ca/is/infrastructure/network/wireless/
