Remote Desktop Connection - with a system running MacOS
Install FortiClient
- Open an internet browser and type https://vpn.uregina.ca/ into the address bar.
- At the "Please Login" prompt enter your uregina.ca username and password.
- Now you will be in the SSL-VPN Portal web page.
Click the "Download FortiClient" box in the top left and the choose "Mac".
- This will take you to the FortiClient Download webpage http://forticlient.com/#download
- Click "Download" to the right of the page.

How to connect to a computer in CL136 with RDP from your Mac System
A Brief Summary and Steps of connecting to the CL136 compters
- Open Forticlient VPN and login with your usual uregina.ca credentials.
- Open the RDP App you have installed.
- Enter the computer name or IP of your lab computer when prompted.
The computer IP will be provided in the CS201 LAB UR Courses.
- Enter username (your U of R username) and password (Your Student ID#) when prompted.
- Click "OK".
You will be connected to a designated computer in CL136 by now.
- You can open applications such as Logisim, LogicWorks, and so on. And save your files on your home drive.
- You can submit your circuit files from UR Courses.
You can do screenshot.
You can also use email to send your files out.
You can do most of the things that you can do in the lab.
- To be able to access your I: drive,
- Click on the right bottom up arrow, then right click on the N,
- then click on OES login and provide your U of R username and password to sign in
- You should be able to see your HOME drive the same as
you normally logged on in the lab room.
- When you are done, please Sign out. Only Sign out!!!!!
You will be back on your local computer.
- Now close app and log out of Forticlient VPN.
